Unz
& Co.'s Export Operations and Procedures Workshop provides a
hands-on, comprehensive understanding of what is involved in selling
and transporting goods to foreign buyers. We’ll take you through the
entire process from negotiating terms of sale and payment with a
prospective customer to the delivery of goods to their final
destination. Read our White Paper entitled Shipper's Letter of Instruction and learn the importance of properly completing a Shippers Letter of
Instruction. Remember, the exporter is the U.S. Principal Party
in Internet (USPPI). The information the government receives
about the export shipment is owned by the exporter who is responsible
for its completeness and accuracy.
Correct
documentation is critical to every international transaction.
This workshop will instruct you in the proper preparation to
commercial, legal, and transport documents that you’ll need to conclude
your transaction successfully.
This comprehensive look at export operations shows you:
- How to prepare an export quotation worksheet
- How to prepare a complete and accurate commercial invoice
- The terminology of international trade
- When a Shipper's Export Declaration is required
- The role of the freight forwarder
- Requirements and use of various types of Certificates of Origin
- How to use the Schedule B properly
Plus, you’ll identify and understand:
- Which INCOTERM to use when asked for a quote
- Costs associated with each INCOTERM category
- Areas of responsibility in an export transaction
- The risk associated to various terms of payment
- Methods of payment for international trade
- Which method of payment is best for you
- How to establish a Letter of Credit
- The relationship between the Letter of Credit, insurance documentation and the Bill of Lading
- Who is at risk in a transaction
This
allows us to give you the complete picture of the export process, not
an overview. Our workshop is more in-depth than other one-day
sessions – we give step-by-step know how! |
