Shipper's Export Declaration

PURPOSE AND USE

Form Profile:

This document was used for compiling U.S. trade statistics and for export control purposes.  As of June 2, 2008 filing of export information must be completed through the Automated Export System (AES).  The paper Shipper's Export Declaration (SED) is no longer accepted by the government.  The SED remains an excellent worksheet to assemble the information and to convey it to a freight forwarder or other party doing the electronic filing.

REGULATORY FACTS

• Unz Stock Nos.: W19-794, W19-795, W19-325, W15-794, W15-795

• Block  1.b. – Omit USPPI’s  EIN
• Block 4.a. and 4.b. – Confuse Ultimate and Intermediate Consignee
• Block 20 Col. 20 – Omit appropriate Domestic (D) , Foreign (F), or Foreign Military Sales (M) designator
• Block 20 Col. 22 – Enter incorrect Schedule B Number
• Block 20 Col. 24 – Shipping wgt. Not converted from pounds to kilograms

PURPOSE AND USE

The Shipper’s Export Declaration for In-Transit Goods is used for shipments which do not enter the commerce of the United States and which transit through the U.S. between foreign countries.

• Block 13 - Entering weight in pounds instead of kilograms
• Block 15 - Incorrect Schedule B Number
